Shooting the rapids in Costa Rica should be on anyone's 'Bucket List.' The rush of shooting the rapids through a series of spectacular canyons surrounded by virgin rainforest and exotic wildlife is an experience you won't soon forget. Any visitor to Costa Rica can enjoy the rush of white water rafting (or kayaking) on any number of rivers that run through Costa Rica's interior. Great rivers flow off volcanoes and through high gorges making this a must do. Along with the rush of the rapids, you’re chances of seeing spectacular wildlife, from sloths to jaguars to Capuchin monkeys, is quite high, well, maybe not a jaguar. Also, you’ll see beautiful tropical butterflies, and over 800 native bird species. At least you’ll have a chance to see them when you’re not screaming your lungs out down Class V rapids! And you’re chances are even better if you choose a less strenuous rafting trip because here in Costa Rica there’s a trip for all skill levels.
