Princesa de la Luna is an Eco Lodge about 12 minutes from the center of La Fortuna and sits on 25 acres of rain forest. It has about 6 miles of hiking trails, a natural 'river pool' and is such an interesting place, a reality show, Love in the Wild, was filmed there.

The Ecolodge Princesa de la Luna is found immersed within a exuberant tropical plant farm in an outstanding location nested above the northen plains of Costa Rica facing the Arenal Volcano looking towards Nicaragua on the northern horizon.

Princesa de la Luna contains 100 types of fruit trees ,including many threatened by extinction or are endangered species. The area is one of the most biodiverse and fertile in the world and therefore wonderful for understanding and observing nature and to experience the wildlife and the people who live here.

The objective here is to practice permaculture principles and create a self-suficient and sustainable lifestyle in harmony with the local biodiversity.

The unique Princesa de la Luna has 8 rooms ,ideal for small groups around 22 people who can be accomodated comfortably.

The rooms are beautifully decorated in an exquisite rustic style,private bathrooms,ceiling fans,many observation points and large terraces with impressive views of the forest the valleys ,hills and the imposing Arenal volcano directly infront of the main house.There are swimming pools , waterfalls ,a jacuzzi and many trails for hiking within the farm as well as many other activities in the area.
