Cano Negro
|
We love the Cano Negro tour because it's a GREAT opportunity to get some really good pics and video of Costa Rica wildlife. You'll do a peaceful boat ride in an area unsurpassed in natural beauty – wildlife guaranteed! The Cano Negro tour offers some of the most abundant bird watching opportunities in Costa Rica. On an average day, you can expect to see 40 species of birds, sloth’s, three types of monkeys, caimans, ”Jesus Christ” lizards, bats, turtles, and iguanas! Located near the small town of Los Chiles, it's 3 miles from the Nicaraguan border.
This place is without doubt a bird watchers paradise, but all visitors will be astonished by the diversity of wildlife here. The foto ops are everywhere and also a great place to shoot some video.

Rio Celeste
|
For a visit to the famous Río Celeste Reserve, we start off with an early morning scenic drive through rural Costa Rica to Tenorio Volcano National Park area. From there, we'll begin our 4-hour intermediate hike (approximately 7km) through the surrounding tropical rainforest. Your naturalist guide will point out interesting things in the Río Celeste forest along the way. We then arrive to "Los Teñíderos" where two rivers come together to form the celestial, turquoise blue water color that gives the waterfall its name "Celeste." We'll return, walking back through the Rio Celeste national park to the "ollas" mud baths and take a moment to relax in the natural hot springs. As the grand finale, we then walk-on further to see the spectacular Río Celeste waterfall - the perfect place to take photos. We finish off with a local lunch as we head back to La Fortuna.

Bird Watching
|
Whether you're doing a volcano hike, river tracing along of canyon, mountain biking or rafting, we're bound to make a point of showing off our amazing bird life in Costa Rica -- it's not unusual to see a Keel-Billed toucan, a Montezuma Oropendola or a Laughing Falcon along the way. But for you hard-core birders, we have a special team of birding experts to take you out to some of our favorite spots.
Depending upon the season and the best birding options, we sometimes head up near the Arenal Volcano by the Arenal Lake, other times we visit the El Silencio Nature Reserve or we head toward Proyecto Asís Animal Rescue Refuge for its amazing concentration of bird life or locally on other private reserves. You'll be amazed at our guides' eagle eyes!!

Zip Line (Canopy Tour)
OMG! We LOVE this zip line. It's obviously not the only zip line in the La Fortuna area but we can tell you if it's not the BEST, it's in the TOP 2. Couple things that set this zip line apart: First the Tram ride up is absolutely Beautiful! The Arenal Lake on one side and the Arenal Volcano on the other, so the views are stunning. The tram ends at an observatory landing- time for a refreshment and opportunity to take pictures. Then it's time for instruction and making the personal decision to proceed or NOT because after a couple practice runs there's no turning back. If you decide it's not your thing, you can take the Tram back down. We wouludn't recommend that. If you're in Costa Rica it's almost sacreligious not to do a zip line and this is one of the BEST in the country. Talk about an ADRENALINE RUSH! One cable is a 1/2 mile long.... don't miss doing this Zip line. Trust us.Departure: 8am, 10:30am, 1pm, 3pm,5:30pm
Includes: Refreshment and professional staff. * Doesn't include transportation, which would be between $10-$15 depending.
Duration: approx. 3 hours
Price: $69 or both for $101
ATV Four-Wheeling
|
There's 2 options on the ATV adventure. One is a exploring the farmland and terrain of the La Fortuna area where you'll be venturing through farmland, forest and rivers. The second is heading towards the La Fortuna waterfall and traversing the area up to the waterfall (this does not include entrance to the park nor does this tour go into the park itself). However, it is scenic and you will get a nice view of the La Fortuna waterfall.
